VoiceDiary (iOS) – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how VoiceDiary ("we", "our", "us") handles information when you use our iOS application ("App"). It is designed to meet Apple App Store requirements and to be easy to read on mobile.

- We do not sell your data.
- Your voice diary entries are stored locally on your iPhone/iPad only.
- Audio recordings are saved on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
- Optional Apple Sign In required only for diary generation feature.
- No advertising tracking. We do not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT).
What We Collect
1) Voice Diary Recordings (on‑device)
- Audio files you record through the app for your diary entries
- Recording duration, date, and timestamp
- Stored locally in the App's sandbox
- Not transmitted to our servers
2) Microphone Access (on‑device)
- Purpose: Record your voice notes
- Processing: Audio is recorded and saved directly to your device
- Storage: Audio files remain on your device only
- Permissions: Microphone permission is requested by iOS
3) Apple Sign In (Optional)
- Purpose: Required for diary generation feature only
- Processing: Authentication is handled entirely by Apple
- Storage: We store only a user identifier in your device's local storage (UserDefaults)
- What we receive: User ID (anonymized identifier provided by Apple)
- What we don't receive: Email, name, or any other personal information
- Privacy: Apple Sign In is designed for privacy - we cannot track you across apps or websites
4) Device and Diagnostics
- Crash logs only if you choose to share them with developers via Apple mechanisms
How We Use Information
- Create and manage your voice notes on‑device
- Record and playback audio recordings
- Organize recordings by date
We do not use your information for advertising or cross‑app tracking.
Where Your Data Lives
On Your Device
- Voice notes are stored only on your device in the App's private container
- Deleting the App removes all voice notes
- No cloud backup or sync (unless you use iCloud backup for your entire device)
We do not operate our own servers for your voice notes.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may disclose information only:
- If required by law or legal process
- To protect our rights, users, or property
- With your explicit consent
No third parties are involved in data processing.
Your Choices and Controls
- Delete voice notes anytime within the App
- Revoke Microphone permission in iOS Settings
- Sign out of Apple Sign In through iOS Settings > Apple ID > Sign-In & Security
Data deletion:
- Remove the App to delete all on‑device data
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International Users
Your voice note data is stored on your device. No data is transmitted internationally.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, if changes are material, display a notice within the App.
